Question: What Vaccines do you require?
Answer:For Dogs-Rabies, DHLP, and Bordetella (See rates and services page.) For Cats-Rabies and FVRCP. We urge cat owners to speak with your veterinarian about protection against Feline Leukemia, and to have your cat tested. You can have your Vet Fax  shot records to us @ 919-477-9220, or you may bring them with you when you come.

Question: When and how do I pay?
Answer:
You may pay when you return. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, or CASH. We no longer accept checks. If your pet's stay is extended, generally longer than 2 weeks, we require a credit card on file. Your card will  be run every two weeks.

Question: When should I make reservations for my pets?
Answer:Reservations for STUDIOS should be made as far in advance as possible. Traditional boarding reservations should be made when you make your pwn  travel plans. However, generally, several days to a week is plenty of time. We do book over Holidays, so reserve as early as possible during the Holiday Season.

Question:
What can I bring?
Answer: In Traditional care, you may bring a couple of toys and some snacks. Bedding is not accepted. We provide and laundry bedding every day.
In the STUDIOS, toys, beds, snacks, etc, are accepted.

Question: Can I bring my own food?
Answer: While we hope that you will allow us to feed our diets, Yes, food from home is accepted. Food from home must be in a rigid, airtight container. There is a $2.00 per day, per pet, fee for prep and storage.

Question: My pet is on medication. Is that a problem?
Answer:Not a problem. Bring whatever medication your pet will need. You will be asked to explain exactly how it is to be given. Your directions will be keyed into your pet's file and you will be asked to sign a copy. That way you can be  assured that we have your directions correctly noted.

Question: My pet is very old and has never boarded before. Is that a problem?
Answer:No, but you should be aware that anything that your pet does that is other than his usual routine will cause  a certain amount of stress. While we've experienced very few problems, you should be aware that there is always the possibility that your pet's "time" could come while you are away.

Question:
Can someone else pick up my pet?
Answer: Yes, but we must have their name in advance from you so that we know who we have permission to discharge your pet to. That person must have a photo ID when he/she arrives that we will copy. This is a requirement of the NC Animal Welfare Act.

Question: Where are you located, and is there parking?
Answer:8411 Roxboro Rd, Bahama, NC 27503 (link to Map/Directions) Yes, there is parking, and plenty of space to walk your dog.

Question: What are your hours?
Answer: (Link to our hours)

Question: Will my pet pick up fleas or ticks while boarding?  Answer:  Due to our cleaning procedures it is highly unlikely that your pet will pick up fleas or ticks during his visit. It is more likely that you or your pet will may "meet a flea or tick" after walking anywhere there is grass, bushes or trees. (If a pet arrives to stay with us and fleas or ticks are noticed, that pet will be dipped at the owner's expense.)

Question: Nina asks:I have 2 large dogs, 1 is 100# and the other is 70#. Can they share a STUDIO together? Answer: Yes, two large dogs can share a STUDIO.  Sometimes with large dogs it is better to remove some of the furnishings to give them more room. If they prove to be too unruly we will have to separate them.

Question:We have a female Shih Tzu dog and a male Siamese cat.  Could they board together in a studio? Answer: The North Carolina Animal Welfare Act prohibits different species from sharing accommodation. You would need to consider a condo or townhouse in our cattery for your cat.

Question: Do you keep non aggressive Pit Bulls? Answer: Yes, of course. We are also set up to keep aggressive animals, although, sadly, aggressive pets can't receive as much hands on care as we would like to be able to give.

Question:Do you offer bathing for animals not being boarded? Answer: Yes, we offer a bath/dip or flea soak/nail trim or grind service. Call for an appointment. We do not have a full grooming service at this time.
